Concurrent Powers is a political power independently exercised by both federal and state governments in the same field of legislation. Examples of Concurrent powers include the power to tax, build roads, protect the environment and borrow money. Both the federal and state governments can be simultaneously exercised within the same area. It is delegated to the Federal government through the US constitution, but the state governments have the ability to exercise it as well.
