This is the graph of how much money you have in the bank
after 'm' months, if you deposit $1,000 in your account and
the bank is paying you  9.25% per year compounded monthly.

(That also explains why they used 'm' for the variable and not 'x'.)

Here's how you can graph it:

-- Pick a number for 'm'.  (Use a small one.)
-- Calculate the value of 'y'.
-- Write down both of them.

-- Do it again.

-- Do it again.

-- Do it again.

-- Do it a few more times.

Mark all the points you have calculated on the graph.
Five or six points should be enough to show you
what the graph is going to look like.
It's NOT a straight line.
