a floral design on the floor of building consists of 500 tiles. each title is in the shape of a parallelogram of altitude 3cm and base 5 cm. find the cost of polishing the design at the rate of rupees 7 per sq.cm

Base = 2cm
Area of parallelogram = base x height
= 5 x 3
= 15.


Area of one tile = 15sq.
Area of 500 tiles = 500 x 15
= 7500

Cost of polishing one tile = rupees 7
Cost of polishing 500 tiles = 7500/7
= 107 rupees
