Hi there!

[tex] {x}^{2} + 10x + 24 = (x + a)(x + b)[/tex]
To find the values of a and b we must find two integers with a sum of 10. The numbers multiplied must be 24. We can now conclude we're looking for the numbers 4 and 6.

[tex] {x}^{2} + 10x + 24 = (x + 4)(x +6 )[/tex]
b can therefore either be 4 or 6. The answers are 4 and 6.
