Extrusion
Extrusion is a process used in
food production. During extrusion, mixed ingredients or food substances are
forced through an opening in a die with a designed pattern, and is then reduced
to a specified size by blades. Food products with high starch content such as
pasta and breads undergo extrusion process during production.
