Put everything on one side: [tex]6 x^{2} +7x+2[/tex]. Because it is a second degree polynomial, better known as a quadratic, it will have 2 solutions. The signs will both be the same and they will both be positive. Look at the second sign (the one after the 7x). It is a +. When that sign is a +, that means that both the signs of both the solutions will be the same, and the sign they are is what the first sign is (the one before the 7x). If we had a polynomial that looked like this: [tex] x^{2} -6x+5[/tex], both signs would be the same and they would both be negative. If we had this, [tex] x^{2} +8x-4[/tex], we would be out of luck for a quick reference!
