Two objects are placed on a table object one has a mass of 2 kg and a bottom surface area of 0.1m. Object to has a mass of 8 kg in the bottom surface area of 0.4 M. How much pressure does each object exerts on the table top.

Respuesta :

Pressure exerted by each mass on the surface is given by

[tex] P = \frac{F}{A}[/tex]

here F = force due to weight of object

A = area of the base

now for object 1 we will have

[tex]P_1 = \frac{2* 9.81}{0.1}[/tex]

[tex]P_1 = 196 Pa[/tex]

Similarly for object 2

[tex]P_2 = \frac{8*9.8}{0.4}[/tex]

[tex]P_2 = 196 Pa[/tex]

So by the above calculations we can say that pressure at the bottom surface will be same due to both blocks.
