Amount of gas for driving on highway = h/26

Amount of gas for driving in city = h/18

b)

480 - 90 = 390 miles (distance  Jim drives on highway)

90 miles (distance Jim drives in city)

==> He will need: h/18 + h/26 = 390/18 + 90/26 =  21.67 + 3.46 = 25.13 gallons for the trip!

==> He won't have enough gas

==> He need to buy more gas!
