The fear technique is used through a piece of propaganda created in 1941 to influence the viewer to buy victory bonds. The propaganda threatened women stating that their children would be taken away if they didn't buy the victory bonds. It was effective as women wanted to keep their children, so they purchased the victory bonds as the creator had designed it to be. The government needed to support the military thus used the propaganda successfully.
