Cytoplasm- a sticky jelly like substance that helps the other structures stay in place.

Nucleus- the control center of the cell. It tells everything what to do.

Mitochondria- it gives the cell energy

Endoplasmic reticulum- it delivers things in and out of the cell

Ribosomes- give the cell protein

Golgi apparatus- it collects unwanted things in the cell to ship out of the cell

Vesicles- I’m not sure sorry :(

Lysosomes- they are like a big sac of acid that dissolve things

Cell membrane- the gateway of the cell; it lets things in and out

Cytoplasm = the area surrounding the nucleus in the cell, a jelly-like substance houses all the organelles, thicker substance than water, doesn't allow organelles to move around keeps them in one location, the cytoplasm holds them in place

Nucleus = the nucleus is usually in the center of the cell and controls most of the cells functions

Mitochondria = converts chemical energy stored in food into a compound that can be used by the cell. Mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell, it is going to provide enough energy for the cell to do its job

Endoplasmic Reticulum =  internal membrane system located within the cell.

Two different types of Endoplasmic Reticulum :

Rough ER - contains ribosomes also involved in protein synthesis.

Smooth ER - contains enzymes that synthesize lipids, synthesize steroids and detoxify drugs

Ribosomes = small particle that produce proteins following the instructions of the nucleus

Golgi apparatus = Organelle that modifies, sorts, and packages proteins and other materials from the Endoplasmic Reticulum for storage or to be moved outside of the cell or to a different part of the cell.

Vesicles = organelles that provide storage within the cell. Store water, salts, proteins, and carbohydrates.

Lysosomes = small organelles filled with digestive enzymes. Breakdown of lipids, carbohydrates, and proteins. Remove organelles that no longer function. Enzymes speed up a chemical reaction. Digestive enzymes help speed up breaking things down chemically

Cell membrane = Every cell has to have a cell membrane, the membrane decides what can come into the cell and what can leave the cell, nickname is GATEKEEPER
