➷ The limewater will turn cloudy/milky. This is because this reaction causes the insoluble calcium carbonate to form. As it is insoluble, it turns the solution cloudy. (this would happen if it was a short time.) Over a longer period of time, the solution would turn clear again. This is because a salt called calcium hydrogen carbonate is formed from the calcium carbonate. This salt is soluble and would dissolve, causing it to turn clear again.

The CO2 reacts with the limewater to form a milky solution. This is due to the formation of Calcium carbonate which is not very soluble in water.
The equation for the reaction is:
Ca(OH)2 + CO2 ----> CaCO3 + H2O
I'm also correcting my answer: after a long period of time the solution will become clear due to the formation of the more soluble calcium bicarbonate.
