The climate change is affecting badly the polar ecosystem as it destroys it and enables the ecosystems from the lower latitudes to spread out on its place.

Explanation:

The global climate change can go either way, to warm up or to cool down. This has been confirmed by the geological findings, and the Earth has experienced lot of warm periods, and lot of ice ages. At present, the global climate seems to be warming up. There are several reasons for this, with the Milankovich Cycles being the prime three factors, the Earth's natural processes, and most recently the human activity as well.

  • As the climate warms up, the polar ice melts.
  • The melting of the polar ice means destruction of the polar ecosystem, as the ice is crucial part of it.
  • With the destruction of the polar ecosystems, lot of living organisms will die out, or will need to adapt very quickly to the new conditions in order to survive.
  • The ecosystems from the lower latitudes will move in on the place of the polar ecosystems and replace them gradually.
