Answer:

Rachel's character revealed more through an indirect  characterization.

Explanation:

Rachel's character revealed more through an indirect  characterization. An indirect characterization, shows things  that reveal the personality of a character. We could infere,  that Rachel is very mature for her age; she could be very  shy, and quiet and when she tries to talk, words don't  come out the way she wants. But, when we see the way she  thinks about life, we realize that she has very mature  thoughts for her age (11 years old). One example, could be  when she explains how she felt when she woke up the day of  her birthday: "What they don't understand about birthdays   and what they never tell you is that when you're eleven,   you're also ten, and nine, and eight, and seven, and six,   and five, and four, and three, and two, and one. And when   you wake up on your eleventh birthday you expect to feel   eleven, but you don't. You open your eyes and everything's  just like yesterday".
