Rome's geographic location helped to its success. Expansion was inevitable and sea trade was highly possible. Surprise attacks were deemed to be difficult which was a high advantage. Communication between the Romans was excellent and their leaders were the one of best leaders known in history. The government was fair, soldiers were courageous, foreign and internal affairs were endless and at ease.
