This is an example of external conflict of character versus character (A).
- As opposed to internal conflicts where a character is experiencing an inner strife, in external conflicts, the character confronts forces independent from him/herself. Here, the narrator struggles with a bully.
- In character vs. character conflicts, the protagonist faces an antagonist. This means that the main character is in a struggle or has a disagreement with another character who represents what the protagonist needs to go through for the plot to move forward.
