With living in advanced technological era, we can solve each and every issue of life by using technology as compared to those people who lives in 1870s because at that time, technology was not too much advanced so the people of 1870s observe more difficulties in every aspects of life. So there is a great difference between now and then having the same situation but difference of technological era.

I would react with confusion if I were suddenly put into the 1870s knowing what I know now.

Technology of this day and age is far different from what it was in the 1870s. If somehow I ended up in that era, I would take quite a long time to adjust because life today is so convenient.

Particular areas that will take some getting used to include:

not being able to read the news online
not being able to watch series and movies both because they aren't being produced but also because there are no devices to watch them on.
not being able to call my family and friends when I want because there were no cellphones
not being able to go to a pharmacy when I am sick because their medicine then was not good.

There are many more instances but I can conclude by saying, I would take quite a number of years to fully adjust to the lifestyle of the 1870s and I am sure that I would be viewed as odd for wanting certain things that haven't been invented yet.
