x = 5

y = 35

y = initial fee + (no.of hours) x (constant fee)

y = initial fee + (x) x (constant fee)

y = 10 + (xa)

35 = 10 + 5a

35 - 10 = 5a

25 = 5a

25/5 = a

5 = a

Therefore, y = 10 + xa

where a is the constant fee charged for each hour.
