. In a laboratory experiment, students develop a solution that when heated to an optimal temperature denatures proteins. (a) Discuss how this experiment may lead to advancements in fighting viral diseases.(b) Explain why class IV viruses (single-stranded RNA) are more effective in producing viral protein than other classes of viruses.

Respuesta :

The experiment may leads to advancement in fighting viral diseases because viruses are coated with protein which help them to attach themselves to the host cell and to invade it. Any method that denature their protein coat will render them inactive.

Class IV viruses are more effective in producing viral protein than other classes of viruses because their replication primarily takes place in the cytoplasm and they can be directly accessed by host ribosomes to immediately form proteins.
