Yes, I do think kamala harris becoming vp is a step towards racial equality due to her being the first black, asian, and woman to become vp. This shows representation of discriminated ethnicity groups, and shows other americans of black or asian descent that they can do the same things privileged men can do, as long as you put in hard work, understanding, and hope by your side. I believe this is a beginning to racial diversity in important positions in office making it one step closer to equality in america. However, this may bring a step back towards racial equality. If she doesn't prove herself as a successful or good vice president than that would make people hesitate to whether or not black and asian americans should get important positions in office. But I believe she would do a great job in office creating representation and a good name towards black and asian americans, giving them a step forward to equality.
