The imagery of the statue standing broken in barren lands is the best possible symbol of the inevitable passage of time. The words on the pedestal are great for proving this. Use this as a starting point for two paragraphs.

Answer:

The imagery of the statue used helps contribute to the meaning of Ozymandias showing that it is still and un-moving. Steady in it's thoughts. That a statue often is made to portray something made to last and never to fade away.

By having the lands crumbling around the statue it is signifying that although the statue may still be there, what is surrounding it is decaying. The engraving below the statue entails of somebody proud of themselves who is unwilling to fall. The fact that the land around them has fallen, but the statue has now helps drive this imagery more into the mind.
