The idea of Life, Liberty and the pursuit of happiness is an example of natural rights because in the Declaration of Independence it clearly states that "all men are born with certain unalienable rights, those being life, liberty, and the pursuit of happyness." An unalienable right is one that people are born with and can not be taken away by a government or anyone else. This is the same as natural rights, as these rights belong to people for merely being humans.
