It really depends on your circumstances...
Personally, I found public school restricting and at times, downright depressing. Although I do struggle sometimes with the curriculum, I find that it is teaching me far more than public school was.
At the moment I do a little of both, I go to school for P.E. so I can attend cross country and track. Public school is now the least of my worries, knowing I could quit whenever I'd like. Doing this gives me more freedom when it comes to having fun and my irregular schedule, whilst still having a social life. Maybe this is too deep but, I learned a lot from just observing the world at the moment, it's eye-opening.
But of course, in the end, it comes down to your personal preferences, I'm hoping you could possibly evaluate your circumstances and find what's right for you.
