Self-fulfilling prophecy is a psychological theory where what is believed or expected or said to a person comes to pass even if the belief is not a fact.

An example of  self-fulfilling prophecy is telling a person that they are so poor in mathematics. This might not be true but because the person is told repeatedly, the person begins to believe it and would eventually become poor in mathematics.

Self-fulfilling prophecy can be negative or positive. It depends on the way it is used.
