The Atlantic Ocean can be defined as one of the largest water body (ocean) in the world with an area of approximately 106,460,000 square kilometers. Also, it has been measured by oceanographers and scientists as covering approximately 20% of Earth's surface while it also cover about 29% of its water surface area.

Based on scientific information, the Gulf stream, which is the world's fastest ocean current flows along the western side of this water body called the North Atlantic Ocean and this is where the  Atlantic Ocean connects to the Arctic Ocean in the North.
