Hi student, let me help you out! :)

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .  .  . . . . . .  . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . ..

We are asked to find the value of [tex]\mathrm{36x-8y^2}[/tex] when x=3 and y=-6.

So, we substitute the values of the variables instead of the variables:

[tex]\mathrm{36(3)-8(-6)^2}[/tex]

Square -6 first:

[tex]\mathrm{36(3)-8\times36}[/tex]

Multiply 36 times 3 and 8 times 36:

[tex]\mathrm{108-288}[/tex]

Upon subtraction, we obtain

[tex]\bigstar~\mathrm{\underline{-180}}[/tex]

Hope it helps you out! :D
