Spain and Portuguese were able to control and colonize in the Caribbean because both the groups favoured the climate and geographical condition of the places which helped them to flourish their trade. Both the countries were similar because they always contest to gain wealth from the New World to boost their Empire treasury with gold, silver, and land.
