Respuesta :

On the first day, Speaker of Parliament Richard Ellis appointed a committee to draft the Declaration of Independence. Its chairman, George Childress,  is widely credited with drafting the Texas Declaration of Independence, with little help from  other commissioners.

When was the Texas declared independence ?

On March 2, 1836, Texas formally declared independence from Mexico. The Texas Declaration of Independence was signed in Washington-on-the-Brazos, now commonly referred to as the "Birthplace of Texas." Like the United States Declaration of Independence, this document focused on citizens' rights  to "life" and "liberty," but emphasized "civil property." The Texas Declaration of Independence was issued during a revolution against the Mexican government that began in October 1835 after a series of government orders including dissolving the  state legislature, disarming the state militia, and repealing the 1824 constitution.
