In a Minnesota lake, 200 people have been rescued after becoming stuck on a sizable piece of ice that broke off. The people who were stranded on Upper Red Lake in northern Minnesota, according to the sheriff's office, were fishing when the ice broke.
Authorities reported that when a "huge block of ice" detached from the edge of a Minnesota lake, about 200 people were trapped on it. According to a Nov. report, one of the stranded on Upper Red Lake called 911 and reported that roughly 100 people were fishing when the ice block broke away.
