During the French Revolution there were two popular movements in painting which are known as Rococo and Neo-classicism. Rococo influenced a lot of the early decorative style of the 18th century; while Neo-classicism was focused on emphasizing the details of archeological finds.
During the American Revolution, patriotic art was the most famous movement in painting. A lot of artists painted portraits of important figures who were a part of the American Revolution at that period.
