Answer:
A speech is something that is highly personal and needs to receive the individual signature of the one who is speaking. However, it is valid to point out things that might be interesting to include on the speech:
- Human cloning is a reality in progress: Recently, certain countries have been developing research on human cloning. An example is the human cloning scandal in 2005 of Woo Suk Hwang and the danger of DNA modification by Craig Venter.
- The representation of human cloning in fiction: Several different movie productions explore the possibility of human cloning and what would happen in real life. Star Wars II, with the cloning of a single soldier into an army, is a classic example of how it is represented, Blade Runner, on the production of human-like androids, Altered Carbon, which proposes eternal life through human cloning.
- Reasons for it to be unethical/immoral: Human cloning is an unethical practice for several different reasons, from the risks of the reproduction of clones, high probability of death, loss of personal identity, necessity of creation of rights to clones, how to differentiate humans from clones, the creation of a superior race (which can be compared to Hitler's ideas). In sum, human cloning is a practice that can have a good core in science, to save lives, but when we analyze it deeper, the potential of crime with this tool, and weaponizing it, is too dangerous to consider.
In sum, a good speech on human cloning needs to focus on how humanity sees it through fiction, how it is connected to reality and what are the possibilities that make this practice unethical.
