1.435 ⋅ 10^-3 = 0.001435 mm

1.435 ⋅ 10^-3 = 0.001435 mm is very small and can't use to measure the distance between tracks on railroad.

So answer is 1.435 ⋅ 10^3 mm is the more reasonable
