The Industrial Revolution was a period from the 18th to the 19th century where major changes in agriculture, manufacturing, mining, and transport had a profound effect on the socioeconomic and cultural conditions starting in the United Kingdom, then subsequently spreading throughout Europe, North America, and eventually the world. The onset of the Industrial Revolution marked a major turning point in human history; almost every aspect of daily life was eventually influenced in some way.

the industrial revolution was a major change in agriculture, manufacturing, and other jobs. During slavery in the late 1700s, items like the cotton gin, the telegraph, and the power loom were invented. These processed cotton faster, communicated across the country quicker, and made manufacturing quicker and more efficient. Additionally, "Fulton's Folly" (steamboat) was invented for faster transportation on water ways. During immigration in the late 1850s, the industrial revolution was a main push factor. As Europe's population grew, farmers looked for better and more efficient tools to use to process products faster and ship them quicker. When new technologies did come out, farmers didn't want to waste money on tenants to farm so they kicked them off and most came to America for a better life. In the earlier 1700s, things like interchangeable parts were invented. A person by the name of Samuel Slater went to Great Britain and memorized the textile mills, what they looked like and how they functioned, they had over there and brought the ideas back to America.
