A material that transmits nearly all the light that strikes it
is described as being "transparent", but that has nothing
to do with "resistance to the light", whatever that is.
Even the blackest, densest material, like wood, foil, or concrete,
has no "resistance" to light. It simply absorbs light that enters it,
so some or all of the light that went in one side never made it to
the other side.
Transparent material absorbs very little, so almost all of the
light that goes in one side comes out the other side.
