It is important to show respect to God by resting one day a week. That day is called Shabbat or the Sabbath. Anctient Egyptians worship many gods at once, they worship Osiris as the god of the ondetworld, and believe that the pharaohs are related to the gods. This was during the time when the Jews were slaves in Egypt and worked for the pharaohs.
The Ancient Israelite's belief that was not owned by ancient Egyptians was to show respect towards the god by taking a rest for one day a week.

Egyptians were a religious group that originated from the country of Egypt in the ancient times of history.
Shabbat or Sabbath was the resting day of Judaism which was on the seventh day of the week, that is, Saturday. It was the day showing grace towards God. The people of Ancient Egypt were worshipped, the Osiris of the underworld and the pharaohs as their gods. It was the period when the Jews were working for the pharaohs as they were the slaves of the Egyptians.
Therefore, the resting of one day a week was the belief of the ancient Israelites which was not held by Egyptians.
