The best descriptions of the Ottoman Empire would be "a. at its height, included territory that is now part of Turkey, Greece, and Egypt," and "founded by Osman in the thirteenth century," since it was technically founded in 1299.

The Turkish Empire was founded by Osman I, in 1299, from which the Ottoman origin originated. He united several Turkish tribal groups, and began to expand the empire by conquering Byzantine cities.  At the peak of power, the Turkish Empire under the leadership of Suleiman the Magnificent encompassed today's territories of Turkey, Western Asia, parts of Southeast and Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and North Africa. It means not only Greece in Europe, or just Egypt in Africa. The empire was then multilingual, multiethnic, multicultural. In addition to the struggle for territorial expansion, in order to maintain the empire, Ottoman, in response to the growth of Shia Islam, killed hundreds of thousands of Shia throughout the empire. When the Turks banned Shia Islam, Shah Ismail proclaimed an independent Safavid empire in 1521, which, among other things, occupied parts of Turkey, which caused the fighting, and the persecution of the Ottomans who had fled to the Safavid army, thus strengthening the Safavid empire.
