The first time all characters are together in the play is during Act V, when Prospero finds Ferdinand and Miranda behind a curtain, playing chess.

On the other hand, Alonso, upon seeing Prospero, immediately expresses his regret over his actions of twelve years before. Alonso was the person who helped Antonio to take the throne of Duke of Milan away from Prospero. He is now full of regret, and he apologizes for his behaviour towards Prospero and Miranda. Prospero is able to regain his dukedom.
