An accounting machine operator wanted to divide an 85-minute job between two identical machines so that one machine would take one and a half times as long as the other. how much time (in minutes) was taken by the machine doing the longer job?

To find how much time the machine that took the longer job is, you would create an equation in terms of X, the amount of time it takes one of the machines.
