These 12 men who were the first followers of Jesus Christ were called the Twelve Disciples. These men were all fishermen whom Jesus chose and asked to follow Him spread the word of God. At once, without question, these disciples left their home and families to serve the Lord. These twelve disciples are Peter, James, John, Andrew, Batholomew or Nathaneal, James, the Lesser or Younger, Judas, Jude or Thaddeus, Matthew or Levi, Philip, Simon, the Zealot and Thomas.
The Twelve Disciples were the chosen people who witnessed the miracles manifested by Jesus Christ. Although they showed weakness in faith in some times, they remained faithful to the Lord. Well, except one, who was Judas. He was the one who betrayed Jesus and told the soldiers to capture Him.
