Mark works strictly on commission of his gross sales from selling two different products for his company. Last month, his gross sales were 87,000. If he earns 6% commission on product A and 4% commission on product b, what were his gross sales on each product if he earned 4,780 in total commission

Respuesta :

Let the sales of one product be x hence sales of the other product is (90000-x)
(4x/100)+(3(90000-x)/100)=3330
x=63000
therefore sales of one product is 63000 and the other product is 27000
You would take 87,000 and divide it by 6 because his commission went up 6 percent and I got 14,500 but I'm not sure
